Staying with What is Stirred

Pond and flowers

A participant in a recent gathering remarked that they felt both stirred and supported by the day’s teaching.  It struck me that, at the heart of the work we do, is an invitation to engage in the oft muddied movement of our lives.

Like life in a pond, as the water stills, and the dirt settles, a clarity can be observed - until the next stirring, the next churning that muddies the water.  Yet even as the water holds in suspension the particulate matter that has been agitated, gently guiding it back to ground, so too does Spirit hold us in the murk of what has been stirred in our lives, gently guiding us to the ground of our being.

May we grow to be present and receptive to this sacred rhythm of stirring and support in our lives.
