This is the first of three contemplative retreat days with Carol Ann Gotch that will take place at the Touchstone Reteat House in Victoria Beach, Manitoba.

Here is how Carol Ann describes the day:

EARTH ANXIETIES

Our physical bodies like the earth we stand on

demand

respect.

Are we listening? 

Inner and outer cosmoses respond to crisis,

and upheavals in predictable fashion,

either

with great anxiety

or

a wake-up calls. 

“It may be only when she storms,

or when her thunder awakens us to her power,

or a beautiful sunset inspires awe and wonder

that we recognize the contradictions

and rhythms of opposites

that describe earthly living”.
