After over thirty years of wrestling to put into word-form the living currents of prayer and the symbolic enneagram, Carol Ann Gotch is ready to offer her labor of love in book form: “The Lord’s Prayer - A Path for Transformative Living Illuminated by the Enneagram”.
In this manuscript, Carol Ann exposes the Lord’s Prayer as a work of revelation, weaving the well-known petitions through the hidden wisdom of the enneagram. Through a blend of prose and free form verse, she brings the prayer alive in ways that are both meaningful and practical for the reader. Each petition, building on the preceding, speaks to the human story; from first breath in the body to the final exhale of “Amen”.
This unique book illuminates a path for embodying our true purpose - to remember ourselves as beings of freedom and love, in constant relationship to the Divine.
Carol Ann Gotch
A mystical encounter with Divine Love at the age of 14, ignited Carol Ann’s life-long pursuit of deepening intimacy with God through prayer. She was first introduced to the enneagram by Bob Ochs, at the University of Berkeley California, where she also met David Walsh, who would become her husband. In the decades that followed, Carol Ann and David traveled North America teaching the symbolic enneagram and hermetic Christianity and together they founded Inscapes. After David’s death in 2015, Carol Ann relocated to a contemplative house of prayer on the eastern shore of Lake Winnipeg where she devotes most of her time to prayer and writing.
“Carol Ann beckons us into a living relationship with the Lord’s Prayer, a personal encounter with a Mystery too great to be contained on a page, one that fills us with hope and love.”
