Blessed are those who mourn, they shall be comforted
or
Blessed are those in emotional turmoil, they shall be united inside by love.

All these words present us with another biblical anomaly. They are entirely what we would not expect, or in any way find normal.

There is no denying we find it difficult to accept the reality of loss. It is a process of moving into and through pain, of making new adjustments and seeking an inner lasting connection and communion.

Psychology speaks of 5 stages of grief, denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.

In our brief time together, we are invited to share our own experiences, and, deepen our understanding of grief as an essential element of our humanity.

Working with grief becomes a question of choosing to enter our own experience, connecting and relating to it, and finding the comfort and strength to continue.

During our time together, we will share experiences, and practice skills that can support us through this journey.
